The XT810/XT200 chipset is a Powerline Communication (PLC) controller designed to connect a wide range of home network devices in a flexible manner using existing residential electrical wiring. Its capabilities include transmission of high-definition video and other broadband content as well as serial or UART data packets. Although it was designed initially for powerline media, it has found applications in coax and twisted pair media.
The XT810 incorporates a 32-bit ARM9 processor and provides a single-chip implementation of high-performance OFDM, MAC processing with QoS support, and powerline communication / Ethernet bridging functions.
QoS function can be used to guarantee a fixed communication speed for a variety of communications ranging from data transmission to video streaming and IP telephony.
The XT200 is a highly integrated analog front-end or transceiver IC. Data rate is supported up to 80 MSPS and 160 MSPS in Rx path and Tx path, respectively. The digital interface provides full-duplex operation. Interfacing can be either binary or twos compliment, LSB or MSB first. A serial port interface (SPI) allows software programmability of the IC from the controller IC. An on-chip PLL multiplier and synthesizer provide all the required clock signals from a single crystal or clock source. The XT200 can operate over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

The following picture showcases the bi-directional aggregate data rate vs. attenuation (0 – 90 dB), tested using a Spirent TestCenter. The aggregate data rate is calculated by adding the downstream and upstream data rates.

The MOD920/923/930 module supports 2~28MHz bandplan and 240Mbps PHY rate, with up to 100Mbps throughput over any wires.
--- Multi-HOP Version
For low bandwidth but large node numbers IoT applications, we offer 2 special modules with multi-hop features both of them pin-to-pin compatible with general version. MOD923CMC runs over 2~28Mhz with 40Mbps throughput, while MOD927 runs over 1~14Mhz with 20Mbps throughput. Both of them are able to support up to 1000 nodes. MOD927 works better than MOD923 under a relatively higher attenuation/noisier environment, in the expense of data rate.
