Speaking on ‘ideal connectivity infrastructure for robust IoT capabilities’

Last week I spoke on ‘ideal connectivity infrastructure for robust IoT capabilities’ on behalf of HomeGrid Forum at the inaugural IoT China Chengdu Business Forum, which was held in Chengdu, China.

During my presentation, I discussed the need for a reliable and ubiquitous network infrastructure backbone to meet the growing data demand due to the IoT. I explained how an intelligent technology like G.hn can serve as the backbone of the near-end IoT infrastructure by delivering both high- and low- speed data streams over various existing mediums (powerline, coax, telephone wire and fiber etc.) and complementing wireless solutions for ubiquitous connectivity.

Attending the inaugural IoT China Chengdu Business Forum provided a platform for HomeGrid Forum to promote G.hn technology, which we have championed since its inception. It was also great to represent the Forum at another industry event in China, as the Chinese market continues to dominate the global technology industry. Here at Xingtera, we also recently announced the XT1800 chipset has gained prestigious HomeGrid Forum G.hn certification status, making Xingtera the first certified silicon vendor in China.

If you’d like to connect, I will be representing HomeGrid Forum again this week speaking at Smart Summit Asia in Singapore, November 30 – December 1.
