Chief Technology Director

Responsibility

The duties of Chief Technology Director include:

  • Responsible for the architecture, design, and development of the state-of-the-art SoC chip solutions for Home Networking market.
  • Architect most cost effective SoC with optimized ARM subsystem, networking interface, DSP and intelligent lower power designs.
  • Driving the specification to best meet targeted market and application requirements
  • Driving SoC product development by starting at architectural specifications and resulting in physical databases, verifying the resulting designs meet all the functional, timing, power and area specifications.
  • Working with logic designers, micro-architects and software team
  • Tracking plan, schedule, deliverables, includes design, verification, backend technical challenges.
  • Approve and Define milestones & quality requirements for each milestone within team as per company’s policies & priorities.
  • Mentoring leader for overall project planning to ensure the availability of skilled engineers for high risk deliverables.
  • Managing & educating other supervisor for cost effective team structure, called pyramid of experience.
  • Supervision & delegation of cross functional team deliverables.
  • Ensure that accountability & transparency is provided within team, for deliverables & milestones.

Qualification

Job entails working with and requires Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience including: solid digital communication theory and chip design background; be skilled in performing system and implementation architecture analysis and advising high performance solutions; strong capability in specifying Bus Architecture, reset, clocking, and power management; solid experiences in developing system models, proficiency in Verilog, C++, Matlab, FPGA prototyping, verification methodologies, tool flow, scripting languages etc.

In the alternative Employer will accept a candidate with Bachelor’s degree in one of the required fields along with 10 years of relevant experience. Employer may accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. This should be read to mean that the employer requires: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience in the job offered, Senior Computer Hardware Engineer, Design Verification Engineer, Electronics Engineer, or Equivalent.

Senior level ASIC design/DV engineer

(BS with 5-10 years experience)

Responsibility

Module level design and verification activities including:

  • Design digital control or datapath logic using Verilog HDL
  • Design synthesis using RTL Complier
  • RTL linting using preferred lint tool
  • Testbench and test development using preferred DV language and library
  • Generate and analyze test coverage report

Qualification

  • BS or MS degree in EE
  • Solid understanding of digital chip design basics in terms of datapath, control, clocking, synthesis, timing etc
  • Familiar with common EDA tools in ASIC design
  • Knowledge of Verilog HDL, C and scripting languages
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Experience with large scale ASIC design and complete ASIC design cycle

Principle level ASIC design engineer

(BS with 10 years experience)

Responsibility

Module level design and verification activities including:

  • Chip level or module level architecture/micro architecture definition
  • ASIC design methodology and flow development
  • Design digital control or datapath logic using Verilog HDL
  • Supervising junior engineers

Qualification

  • BS or MS degree in EE
  • Solid understanding of digital chip design basics in terms of datapath, control, clocking, synthesis, timing etc.
  • Familiar with common EDA tools in ASIC design
  • Extensive knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, C and scripting languages
  • 10 years of experience
  • Extensive experience with networking products such as switches, network processors, home gateway, MAC, etc.
  • Familiar with Ethernet technology and TCP/IP protocol
